Summer Break

So summer break is 3 weeks in. We have been busy, busy. Here are a couple of pictures of what has been going on.

Vi got a trophy for getting all 3 splits. She has been working really hard. Great job Vi!


The competition team performed at the Philipine Independance Day Celebration. They are always a hit.


Sabrina, Madeline and Otis are out for a visit. We of course had to celebrate the girls brthday.


Vi and Morgan had cheer camp. It was sponsored by the High School cheer team. The girls loved it!

So summer break is 3 weeks in and we have been going non-stop.

So long 2nd grade...hello summer break!

Yesterday was the last day of school! After the last month I think I was more excited than Vi. I am doing more and more at the school (which I love) but it keeps me super busy (hence the lack of posts).
Vi has officially passed the 2nd grade (like there was any doubt :D)! She finished up the year on a high note. She had a little trouble in math in the middle of the year (they say that second grade is when kids start to hate math because it gets hard) but with the help of her AMAZING teacher she pulled ahead! She got such a great report card she got to pick out a toy from target. She is really into Monster High dolls...

We shall see what the summer brings!

Legacy Wall

Brisas is starting a new tradition, a Legacy Wall. You can buy and paint a tile and they will put it on the school in the courtyard. On Thursday we went to the pottery painting place and made ours. It turned out really nice. I can't wait to see it once it is complete!

Never a dull moment

As you all know we are always on the go, never a dull moment in the Taugner World... Vi lost another tooth and as you can see the adult tooth was already on the way in! Poor Vi will def nned braces. Here top jaw is too small...we are already saving up... We went to exchange the dresses Papa Dad sent her for Easter. This is the "fancy dress" she picked out. It is so cute. Papa Dad sent Vi an Easter mask. Of course she had to put in on and ham it up!

Busy Weekend

If the month of April is anything like the first weekend I'm in trouble. Holy Moly were we busy! And hot, temps were at 99 degrees. A nice little tease of what the summer brings. Friday night was the Spring Carnival at school. What a great event! There was so much to do...bouncies, petting zoo, pony rides, games, food, dunk tank (thats right, dunk your teacher) and the main event teachers and both principals KISSING A COW!!! The students have a "change drive" to raise money for the carnival. They have one week to bring in loose change. The teachers with the most and the least have to kiss the cow. And...if the entire school raised $750 the principals had to kiss the cow too! The school raised almost $1,400!!! Vi's teacher didn't have to kiss the cow but she was excited to see her principal kiss the cow. Of course Vi wanted to ride a pony. And by pony I mean little pony. Check out how small this thign was. Since Vi is so petite they put her on the smallest pony. HAHA What a arm...VI dunked her teacher AND the principal. She had such a blast! On Saturday Eddie took Vi and Morgan to the Phoenix Zoo. He let them ride the camel. Vi said it was a bumpy ride. Nothing like waking up and going for a bike ride. They love our big backyard, perfect to ride bikes!

Good Friends

Yesterday Vi had a dance competition. The girls did so great. Vi and Morgan got a special judges award for their duet! These comps make for very long days. Inbetween performing and awards a bunch of us went to Olive Garden to get some food. We are very lucky to have such great friends!
